My brother had been talking this place up to me for a few years now and we figured we would check it out for the Canada/US Olympics final game. We arrived at 8am and were warmly greeted by a very large crowd of regulars. The staff were super friendly... And the atmosphere was lovely! Their breakfast was delicious (perfectly cooked bacon😋), coffee was fresh.. And their ceasers definately quenched the thirst for what ended up being an extremely intense hockey game lol. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun spot to have some drinks, share some sports game memories, and enjoy a perfect pub vibe❤️ Cheers to a great Hamilton gem🍻

Mel did a fantastic job! A must stop in Hamiltons food scene. The food was fantastic and the server was one of the best we have ever had- a party of 9 and she had drinks served at once, food served hot and a fantastic smile during a rush.

We walked in and no one greeted or noticed us. It then took a while for us to get our waters (that were not refilled or even offered during the whole meal). The food was very good. I definitely recommend the spinach dip. We didn’t have one steady waitress and multiple would stop by but they all forgot their tasks and didn’t stick with what they told the customers. The table next to us couldn’t even get a refill for the whole 45 minutes we sat down, even though multiple servers were notified. My sauce was forgotten. We were told we would get a bag and it never came. We had to flag someone down for our check too. Good food but HORRIBLE service- coming from another server. Maybe it was just this night but other tables had obvious frustrations too.

we just had a quick sit down & drinks, but the service there was absolutely amazing! our bartender colby adams-simms served us, and he was fantastic and extremely nice. he gave us a free dessert which was such a generous thing for him to do! it made our night, and it was delicious. definitely will come again for drinks & to drink out their food :)

The service, drinks, and food are all the best in Hess. Prices are fair, portions are large, drinks are strong. Servers are very friendly and helpful even when busy. Victoria is the best server in Hamilton. They have daily and weekend specials, and the food is mostly homemade (including the delicious fresh cut fries). The cherry cola cocktail is always good, and there are always good beers on tap besides the usual domestic. Great for a full meal or even a pre or post date spot for a quick cocktail and snack, before a Hess adventure. I'll be back to try the wings!
