Kafana offers much more than just a coffee or a meal, it’s a cultural experience. The lighting and dual fireplaces create a beautiful ambiance, and the homemade food is clearly a labor of love. It was wonderful to see their support for Ukraine and other nations through their unique table flags and artwork. It’s family-friendly, soulful, and easily one of the best spots in town. Belleville is truly lucky to have this spot.

My husband and I LOVE The Kafana. The ladies who run the place and work there are absolutely lovely, the food is even better and the atmosphere has such a great vibe. We found Kafana in the spring and go back regularly. As a Ukrainian woman, this is some of the best borscht I’ve ever had. An absolute treasure in the Belleville area where it’s not easy to find great quality food in most of the restaurants.

Have you tried the Turkish coffee? That’s what first brought me to this place — and I’m so glad it did! The cozy, welcoming atmosphere, the friendly staff, and the variety of delicious offerings make it truly special. If you’re near downtown Belleville and love discovering unique and enchanting spots, don’t hesitate to stop by. It’s definitely on my list of favourite places to visit!

The Kafana offers a cozy atmosphere and a unique blend of Eastern European cuisine. 👌 The pierogi selection was delicious! I also really wish they had classics like cabbage rolls and borscht! During my visits, the Turkish coffee was unavailable, which was disappointing given its prominence on the menu. 🩷Will be back. 🙏🏼

Probably the best meal I’ve ever had in Belleville. Each dish was incredible loaded with flavours and worked well together. Cant wait to get back and try more items in the menu. Tip: this is a waitress/waiter free environment, grab a table, read the menu and head on up to order. They will explain the rest. Turkish coffee is a must try, just wish they made them out front, would have loved to watch them brew it m.
