Great atmosphere and decor, nice mellow lighting and dark tones. Good beer selection, with a mix of big breweries and local craft available. We tried the poutine and a pizza. The poutine was the absolute best I’ve ever had. The fries were perfectly done, the gravy was thick and full of flavour, and the cheese from Thunder Oak Farms were amazing! To top it off, there was live music which we really enjoyed. Would definitely recommend.

Went there for the first time. It was during the time of drinks. Since it was past 10pm. I was recommended to this place by a friend I met up in Thunder Bay. I managed to sit down at the bar side. Been there until closing. Which was 2am. I got to enjoy the myself while there. I also very much appreciated the bar tender who served me the entire time. She was a pleasure to be served by. I then came for a second visit when food was served. I ordered a chicken Ceasar Salad with chicken. My only compliment was the chicken was dry tasting. Not even seasoned. Which is usually done by most restaurants. I was hoping to see the server I met the other night. Maybe in the future I can be served by her again. Atmosphere was pleasant. Just the live band playing and a DJ afterwards made it hard to talk to people in the crowd. Still, great place to be. I recommended this place to see.

Locally owned and operated, great place for a drink and or full meal, large portions for every dish offered. Nice staff. This place is pretty popular, many themed evening events through out the year, fun atmosphere. It will get full and loud on the weekends and some evenings. So plan accordingly. Thank you Foundry for your years of dependable, clean, honest service.

Great place for craft beer and music in Thunder Bay. Spacious, old pub style, over 25 beers on tap and many cans as well. Regular music events look great although I did not attend one. Bartender knows his stuff. Food is regular pub fare but good quality. Service is friendly and knowledgeable. Recommended destination.

had a fantastic experience at The Foundry! Their tap beer selection is top-notch, offering a great variety for any beer lover. The wings were equally impressive—perfectly cooked, flavorful, and a great match with the drinks. What truly stood out, though, was the service. Our server was incredibly kind and caring, making sure we had everything we needed while creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. It’s rare to find such genuine hospitality, and it made the visit all the more enjoyable. If you’re looking for a place with great beer, delicious wings, and outstanding service, The Foundry is definitely worth checking out!
