Ordered a medium well patty in my Skyline Burger and was literally judged for it on my way out of the restaurant. Some blonde short haired girl with glasses I literally heard yell, “I WOULD NEVER ORDER A MIDWELL BURGER” with one of the workers (behind the counter) replying to her, “that was a little weird.” Please don’t judge a customer’s taste if you want to customer loyalty. Food was meh and tasted very very oily. So long Skyline 😊✌🏽

There are moments when a simple dinner becomes something far more captivating, a sudden shift into a different frequency. We came to the Skyline Diner for the Friday night fried chicken special which was incredible, a piece of vintage culinary comfort that felt like a necessary sanctuary on such a freezing night but we stayed for the atmosphere commanded by our server. There is a timelessness to his beauty that is rare to encounter; he possesses the kind of striking, classic features that make you feel slightly nervous, yet entirely fascinated. It is a beauty that feels architectural, yet lived-in. However, it wasn’t just his face it was his poise Having just seen a Celia Franca exhibit, I was struck by the "choreography" of his labor. There was a recursive grace to how he moved; he navigated the narrow aisles with the disciplined, vertical economy of Franca and the weightless, rhythmic ease of Fred Astaire. To see someone inhabit their role with that level of intentionality and posture treating the act of clearing a table or mixing a cocktail as a series of deliberate, elegant transitions is a gift. In the middle of a mundane Friday, his presence turned a meal into a performance of human carriage. It was a reminder that excellence in how one carries oneself is its own form of art. If you appreciate the art of human presence and the precision of a well-held frame as much as a perfect potato salad and crispy coleslaw, this is an essential visit.

I wish I could give this restaurant 0/5 stars. SO DISAPPOINTING! I had high hopes for such a historic location and was so excited to try it based on what I’d heard! But after several visits by myself since the new owners took over a few years ago, I refuse to support them any longer. I observed waitstaff and management ignoring customers in order to chat with/serve their friends/regulars. I also saw the staff/management/owners regularly take shots at the front bar in front of customers. As a customer, I was left unattended for upwards of 30 min before I could order my meal. I didn’t feel like I was being treated like a priority, I was more treated like an annoyance which I found strange. The food was not fresh and had little imagination (I was told that some of the food is 7+ days old in the fridge…). I also once brought a friend with me who ordered a chicken sandwich- it was pink in the middle and they got food poisoning from this. I gave them many chances, but I will NOT be returning, nor will I recommend this to anyone! Maybe if the owners are willing to listen to feedback or invest better in their staff things could change for the better?

Skyline Restaurant is a charming throwback to classic American diners, complete with nostalgic decor and a cozy ambiance. The menu features well executed comfort food, including standout dishes like their hearty Reuben and club sandwiches. While the coffee could be improved, the overall dining experience, enhanced by friendly staff and the restaurant's unique character, makes it a worthwhile visit.

I wish I could give this diner 6 stars for atmosphere! It’s vintage, cool, and eclectic. The food is delicious! Burgers and fries are excellent. Fast service, clean, and food is reasonably priced. The washroom is downstairs but otherwise the venue is accessible for all. I understand why this place has been in business so long.
