Best place for a pre or a casual night out! Food was delicious and very filling. Drinks are reasonably priced and they were made well. The cinnamon rimmed margs were yummy. Place is small so I’d highly recommend having a reso. If not you can try your luck at a seat at the bar. Vibes are great. Seemed to be 25+ crowd. Music playlist needs some work.

Good food, good service, good atmosphere, need I say more? John was our server and he did a bang of a job. John was an honest guide if I’ve ever seen one. He talked me through the veggie options as he had tried most of the menu. John was very experienced he had 5 years under his belt and was even moved to this location from another. Pennies is a classic old school dinner feel without the expensive price tag attached. Affordable food allow you to try many different options on the menu and have you begging for more. By the end I was full, happy and even got to have a conversation with the wait staff about living in Toronto and the food culture. Pennies is a must try!

Loved that they had a separate vegan menu! The tots were a highlight and also LOVE that the patio is pet friendly! Perfect spot for an afternoon drink and bite on a nice day!

Visited this place with my colleagues, and we had the patio all to ourselves such a great atmosphere! The staff were super friendly which made the experience even better. I tried their cocktails and burgers, and both were really good. Overall, a great spot to relax, enjoy good food, and unwind with friends!

It’s a fun place to grab drinks, but temper your expectations on the food. It’s cheap so that’s to be expected, the cheeseburger slider is decent, as is the southern honey fried chicken. I tried the taco, chopped cheese and Coney Island dog and they were awful (soggy taco, processed cheese from a tube etc). That being said it definitely has a good vibe, the servers are really friendly, fun interior decor, free popcorn, good patio and it’s cheap.
