My husband and I have been getting the same thing from here for years, and absolutely loved it! It was always consistent and tasted great. More recently we’ve noticed that our poutines have had a ridiculous amount of gravy, making it more like soup than poutine.. this has happened twice to us now. Last time was much worse. I’m quite upset about this, because this was my favourite place when getting take out. Very disappointed.. please do better! **The pic with 2 is this time, the pic with 1 is last time**

Kingston Poutine

Want good poutine in Kingston? Go to Bubba's Original on King St. They're the ones who brought poutine to Kingston back in the 1980s, so they really know what they're doing! Their Quebec style poutine is amazing. The fries are crispy, the gravy is hot and tasty, and the cheese curds squeak when you bite them (that's how you know they're fresh!). Every time I go, it tastes just as good. The friendly staff are really nice. They always smile and make you feel welcome. You can tell they care about the food they make. They're open late night too, which is awesome. When you want poutine at 11pm, they've got you covered. It's the perfect meal after a night out or when you just want something warm and filling. If you like poutine, you have to try Bubba's. They've been doing it longer than anyone else in Kingston, and it shows!

The BEST poutine! Seasoned fries, crispy enough to soak up the gravy without getting too flimsy, perfect ratio of cheese curds and fries and gravy aaand the pizza! The sauce alone is super tasty! Everything is made in house and the friendliest staff this side of town, highly recommend!

“Quebec Style Poutine” was excellent. Large size was definitely large, and had cheese and gravy all the way to the bottom. Order came quick, and prices are comparable to fast food, but tasted so much better.
