Open 24/7. Yes, you read that right. Whether it’s 3PM or 3AM, My Roti Place / My Dosa Place on Queen Street West has your Indian comfort food cravings covered, and then some.
We started with the Mysore Masala Dosa, and it did not disappoint — a paper-thin, golden-crisp dosa wrapped around a spicy mashed potato filling with a punchy Mysore chutney spread. Served with sambar and cooling coconut chutney, it's a South Indian classic made right.
The Samosa Chaat was bold and vibrant — crispy samosa chunks topped with tangy tamarind, creamy yogurt, fresh onions, and sev. Sweet, spicy, crunchy, creamy — it was a festival of textures and flavours in every forkful.
Then came the Paneer Lababdar with Naan — a North Indian-style curry rich with tomatoes, butter, and spices, layered with tender cubes of paneer. Creamy, comforting, and packed with flavour, it was a dish that made us slow down and savour every bite.
For the meat lovers, the Lamb Vindaloo Roti Wrap was the move. Slow-cooked, spice-loaded lamb wrapped in a warm roti — juicy, fiery, and deeply satisfying. This one brings the heat, so consider yourself warned.
The Biryani held its own — fragrant basmati rice spiced just right, studded with tender pieces and caramelized onions. Aromatic, hearty, and made to be shared (but no judgment if you don’t).
To cool it all down, we paired the spice with a chilled, creamy Mango Lassi and a sweet, nostalgic Rose Milk — subtly floral and soothing, like dessert in a cup.
