"Hands down one of the best spots for authentic South Indian and Kerala cuisine in London! The flavors at Malabari Bistro are absolutely incredible. We tried the Thalassery Chicken Biryani and the Beef Roast, and both were cooked to perfection with the perfect blend of spices. The Masala Dosa was also huge and crispy. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and the food tastes like a homemade feast. Highly recommend to anyone craving real, flavorful Indian food!"

Thalaserry mutton biryani: felt very plain or stale, not tasty, too much rice less pieces, papadam cold Dry gobi manchuruian: was not dry, lot of capsicum and onions which is not usually put in gobi, may be put to feel more quantity. Not tasty Paul kappa: was comparatively good Fish polichuthu: was awesome Overall price very expensive

By far the best Malayali restaurant I’ve been to in Canada! The beef dry fry was fried to absolute perfection — not overly battered, just done right. The Bangalore kebab was incredibly flavourful and juicy. Both dishes were very satisfying in terms of quantity. The regular porotta and nool porotta were freshly baked, soft, and spot on. The pothu curry was slightly on the oily side (possibly just the fat), but honestly, it was phenomenal in taste. And finally — the biriyani! Both mutton and chicken biriyani, served bone-in, were outstanding. Rich, aromatic, and full of flavour — easily one of the best biriyanis I’ve had here. Special shoutout to Mr. Ashwin — extremely polite and knowledgeable. His recommendations were spot on and didn’t disappoint at all. The service staff deserve appreciation too. Despite being busy, the two girls acknowledged us the moment we walked in. The server who took our order (I didn’t catch her name — she was tall and very pleasant) did a fantastic job. The ambience was cozy, warm, and very inviting. Keep up the great work, team! Highly recommended.

We visited this place after reading positive Google reviews. The customer service was pleasant, and the interior really stands out for a South Indian restaurant. As for the food, the nool porotta was good; however, the beef roast and ilaneer chicken were disappointing. Both dishes were overly salty, with salt being the dominant flavor. The ilaneer chicken, which is meant to feature young coconut, tasted more like heavy cream and did not live up to its name.

I’ve visited a couple of times now, and the service and ambience are really good. While the kulukki and other drinks are good, the portion sizes for the curries and biriyani are disappointing. The Thalassery biriyani lacked flavour and the expected texture, and the same goes for the Ellum kappa. I’ve visited the Sarnia location also multiple times, and the quality there was noticeably better compared to the London one. I hope you take this as constructive feedback and work on improving both taste and portion sizes. I look forward to a better experience next time and will consider updating my review accordingly!!
