Old fashioned mom and pop type place, service is second to none. Warm atmosphere and excellent service, tasty food. Dropped in for lunch on a cold winter day the other day when I was down town, enjoyed my visit and my grilled cheese sandwhich. Will definitely be back

I recently visited King’s Breakfast Place, one of Oshawa’s old establishments from the looks of it. The food was good – kind of comforting breakfast. From fluffy pancakes to perfectly cooked eggs and crispy bacon, it’s a great spot for classic breakfast comfort food. The service was decent, though not particularly outstanding. The staff was friendly enough, but the overall pace felt a bit slow, especially considering how popular the place is. That said, the staff was doing their best to handle the crowd, so I can’t fault them too much. What really stands out about King’s Breakfast Place is its vibe. Being one of the older spots in Oshawa, it has that nostalgic, homey charm that many newer places try to replicate but rarely achieve. It’s cozy and unpretentious, with a classic diner feel that makes it feel like a step back in time. Overall, King’s Breakfast Place is a solid choice if you're craving a hearty, no-frills breakfast in Oshawa. While the service could use a little improvement.

Arlo “Moose” Brake

The establishment has a casual, cafeteria-style atmosphere, highlighted by incomplete menu boards and lime green accents. Despite being short-staffed with only two team members present, the food and service exceeded expectations. The traditional breakfast, priced at $12, was exceptionally well-prepared, and the service was attentive, elegant, and executed with great care. I would gladly return. Additionally, they offer a TV for your viewing enjoyment. Thank you.

Went in for steak and eggs while running errands. Ordered my steak rare, got it well done. When the server checked on me, I told her the steak was way too overcooked. All she said was that she'd tell the cook. When I went to pay she still expected full price even though 80% of the steak was still on my plate. It was as tough as boot leather. I ended up agreeing to pay 15 dollars for three eggs, home fries and the smallest slices of rye toast I've ever seen. They gave me the ends of the loaf. Won't be going back. Eggs were perfect and homefries were good. Service was awful.

My wife and I decided to have lunch / brunch. Portions sizes are pretty decent for the price you pay. I ordered the classic burger the burger is homemade fresh ingredients, with a special mayo. My wife ordered the Buffalo chicken wrap over all the portion size pretty decent the home fries were really good. Tiny issue please add more buffalo sauce. Updated! Swiss cheese and mushroom burger absolutely amazing cooked to perfection!
