March 2, 2026: tried this place for the first time and I thought they were alright. My overall thoughts: Good prices, cozy spot, friendly service, and okay tasting food. Service was great - 10/10. I ordered at the counter, the waitress took my order, I paid, was given a number to take with me, then sat at a table of my choosing. My food came out about 10-15 minutes later and was brought to me at my table. I ordered a regular cheese burger and a medium poutine (pic posted) and paid $17.95 with tax. The waitress brought me water and checked on me to see how I was enjoying my meal. Great service! The atmosphere was clean and had a 50's sort of old school style to it. There was an out of order jukebox in the corner. There were plenty of seating and lots of space. The restaurant didn't seem busy for 3pm. Cute, charming, and cozy environment. While menu items are affordable and have good prices, the burger was a little small ($7) and tasted like a burger I could cook at home myself. It wasn't a bad burger at all; i just wasn't impressed by it. The medium sized poutine was a great portion and tasted pretty good. Many of my friends claimed Ivan's has the best poutine in North Bay and I looked forward to trying theirs, but I personally find Burger World's and Tahini's poutine to be superior. I found the food overall to be good/okay - there wasn't anything wrong with the food; I just wasn't "wowed" by the food and feel there are other restaurants in town that serve better tasting burgers and poutine. To summarize, Ivan's is alright for an affordable bite. I had a pleasant experience and am glad I dined in. I won't be back, but it's not because they were bad in anyway. Ivan's is good! I recommend them to anyone who is looking for an affordable, home style meal to eat. I rate them at 4/5.

A beautiful little space in the heart of North Bay. The staff are wonderful, the food was absolutely stellar, the pricing more than reasonable and their specialty drinks are phenomenal!!! I will definately be back, again and again!!!

Had "Grand Breakfast" 3 eggs, 2 sides (choice of bacon, sausage, ham or bologna) hash browns & coffee. All for $13 good value. Good food great service! Definitely recommend 👍👍

Had an amazing time at Ivan’s Restaurant with six of my friends! We ordered the fish and chips, and it was absolutely delicious—crispy, fresh, and perfectly cooked. What really made the experience memorable was the outstanding service. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome.

I recently visited Ivan's to try their mushroom-based poutine, and wow! it was absolutely delicious! A fantastic option for vegans, and even though I eat meat, I stick to halal, so this was a great find for me. I ordered a small portion, but honestly, it was so generous and filling that I was set for supper! On top of the amazing food, the staff were incredibly kind and polite. The owner herself was so down-to-earth, humble, and genuinely warm. You can really feel the love they put into their food and service. Big thanks to the Ivan's team! you've definitely earned a loyal customer!
