Pretty average spot. Nothing special for the price. Tried the jalapeno shrimp and it was okay. The cod is decent. Coselaw is decent, same with the sauces. The Chips are not good! They're dry and some were like cardboard. Mushy peas are GROSS, it's like pickled peas idk but they're not regular mushy peas. They do have oysters for $1 some days and those are really good! And location is prime, The Well food court is a vibe. Not somewhere I'd recommend, just average 🤷🏽‍♀️ disappointed by the chips

Fluffy, light, perfectly crispy, completely non-greasy batter on the fish. Perfection. I was in London, UK and tried many places there, so I know a good fish and chips place. The fries though are terrible. Please Hooky’s upgrade your fries to be good without having to use ketchup! Make them like Poppies Chips in London! Poppies has good thickly cut chips - no Ketchup required!

Great service team — they’re so friendly and approachable. Got the haddock fish and chips. Huge portion, but the fish was a little dry for my personal preference. Otherwise, great tartar sauce etc. Worth the price if you’re hungry and ready to chomp on some protein and carbs!

This Fish and Chips place never fails to impress me. Whenever I’m in The Well, this is one of my constant favourites. I usually order Cod and chips and the other day I came and order it with extra piece of Cod. They thought the original pieces were too small so they gave me extra 2 pcs! This is how you do business, some places would just try to be sneaky if the pieces are too small and it is just up to you to voice it out. They will have my business for life.

Hooky’s is a solid fish and chips spot and consistently maintains the same quality level. Personally this is not my favourite fish and chips around but it is good, the staff are friendly and The Well is a great location. If you feel like fish and chips Hooky’s will never do you wrong. One wish was that there was more tartar sauce included by default!
