From the moment we walked in, the staff was beyond kind and genuinely caring. Every single person was attentive, friendly, and made us feel completely welcome. They took the time to thoughtfully explain each dish and the Bijou to us, which made the experience feel personal and special. You can tell they are truly passionate about what they do and deeply proud of the food they serve. The Bijou based cocktails have been so thoughtfully curated, it is definitely worth going to here to experience these unique blends. The food was absolutely incredible. This is not your typical Chinese cuisine. Every dish felt intentional and elevated, made with so much heart. There is truly love in each bite. The flavors come together in such a magical and balanced way that you cannot help but savor every mouthful. Their house made ginger scallion seasoning is like magic dust. I would put it on everything if I could. What stood out just as much as the food was how they treat their guests. Everyone is welcomed with warmth and care, which creates such a comfortable and inviting atmosphere. This was easily one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. Do not hesitate to dine here. You will not regret it. Thank you to the Hong Shing Team for your hospitality!

If you're looking for an amazing Chinese food experience, this place is it! It's straight-forward and delicious food. You NEED to get the crispy beef. The garlic beef tenderloin and lemon chicken were also spectacular. The waitstaff were friendly and quick. The washrooms were clean. We will be coming back!

Came here for dinner to try out a few dishes. Waiter said the chicken balls were good, but fried chicken ball was pretty dry inside, some balls had more dough than chicken, and the overall dish was fairly bland. The sauce was not too sweet but also lacked any real flavor. The crispy beef was basically a beef version of general tsaos chicken, and it too had more batter than beef. The first few bites are okay and then it progressively tastes worse with more batter after each piece. The stir fried egg noodle had some good wok hei but other than that it wasn't a dish worth trying. The mocktail chrysanthemum tea was basically carbonated tea, so definitely not worth trying. Overall, the menu looks nice, but the food tastes like cardboard. Maybe an off night, but not a single good dish.

Hong Shing Restaurant is in a very convenient downtown location. I stopped by for lunch and tried their lunch special, wonton soup and chili chicken on steamed rice. The food was decent overall, nothing extraordinary but satisfying. The atmosphere stood out with its modern and stylish interior, which made the dining experience more enjoyable. Service was a bit on the slower side, but nothing too bad. Overall, it was a good experience. I’d come back if I’m in the area, though I wouldn’t go out of my way to make a special trip.
