Old school diner. Simple breakfast. Decent price. Good taste. Friendly service. Nothing fancy. These spots need to be cherished as they won't last forever.

Awesome place located in an amazing area. Service was attentive. Breakfast is served until 3pm, tasty and large portions. The prices are very affordable than average. The diner's theme is old style, very welcoming.

What I really love about Fil’s Diner isn’t just the food or the drinks, though those are amazing too, it’s the way the place makes you feel the moment you walk in. There’s this warmth to the atmosphere, like it quietly welcomes you in and tells you to just slow down for a bit. The retro vibe is such a treat—I’m definitely biased toward anything vintage, so I loved taking it all in. Everything from the décor to the little details around the diner makes it feel cozy, fun, and kind of timeless. The staff are wonderful. They’re kind and attentive, but they don’t force small talk or make you feel rushed. The food comes out quickly, but it still feels like it’s made with care. It’s that perfect balance where you feel looked after but also free to just enjoy yourself. Honestly, every time I go there, I end up feeling happier than when I came in. Fil’s Diner isn’t just a place to eat—it’s a place to pause, to feel comfortable, and to enjoy a little moment of calm in the middle of the day. Now this is the epitome of an excellent diner style breakfast! The ambience and atmosphere of this restaurant is simply perfect to go along with an excellent breakfast! The price is right and food was delicious!

I visited Ottawa and stopped for breakfast at this restaurant. I would like to recommend it because I liked the atmosphere and the decoration of the place makes you feel retro. The service was great, friendly and attentive. The breakfast is seasoned and has a portion according to the price. I can't complain. The cost of this place is between 10-20 per person. Visit it, it's a good experience if you're passing by.
