When in Thunder Bay dont miss this place for some great East Indian food. Its looks unassuming from outside but once inside it has movie posters and nice soft velvet covered chairs. The food was spicy with lots of flavor as well. You can also ask for less spicy if you prefer. We went at 8:30pm and there were only people at one table. Shortly after the restaurant was full. We were the only non east Indians there so you know the food is great. We had butter chicken garlic naan, chicken tika masala, biriyani, paneer tiki masala.

I recently placed an order from Exotic Indian Eats on Uber Eats and went with the Drums of Heaven. Let me start by saying this — the taste was good. No complaints at all when it comes to flavor. The dish was well prepared and enjoyable. However, the portion size for the price point was extremely disappointing. Paying $25 and receiving just three small drumsticks is, in my opinion, quite absurd. This was actually my third time ordering takeout from here, and on every occasion I’ve walked away feeling the same way — satisfied with the taste, but not with the value for money. I’ve also noticed that when I’ve been there in person, there weren’t many dine-in customers. They may very well be busy with delivery orders, but in the customer service industry, perception matters. When pricing doesn’t align with portion sizes, it affects customer retention — regardless of how good the food tastes. I don’t have photos to attach, but my reviews across establishments have always been honest and fair. I give credit where it’s due — and the flavor here is genuinely good. That said, will I be a repeat customer? I highly doubt it. Exotic Indian Eats should revisit their pricing and customer experience strategy if they want to retain long-term customers.

Pictured from left to right are Egg Puff (Puff pastry filled with a spiced onion filling with half a boiled egg) and Mutton Pulao. I'd had the Mutton Pulao before and was very happy to see the taste is consistently good. Was not expecting the Egg Puff to be so good. It was nostalgic of the fresh, hot egg puffs I would get at Indian bakeries and which I dearly missed here. Savoury, crispy and oh so delicious. I can say this is one of the very very few restaurants I've tried in Thunder Bay that actually captures the authentic flavours, definitely the best. You can tell from the delectable aroma as soon as you walk in. I'm looking forward to trying other things from their menu.

We had a wonderful experience here! The Indian curry and roti were delicious, and the service was fast and friendly. Everyone was polite, and we really enjoyed the food. The ambiance was lovely, especially the Bollywood celebrity wall — such a nice touch! Highly recommend!

Deebu Chempilettu

The food was delicious. Good service. Good atmosphere. Lots of seats available. Tasty chicken dum biriyani. Although I would have preferred bone in pieces for the chicken dum biriyani. Just a personal preference. Regardless it was delicious.
