Just when I thought I had tried all regional shawarma styles, this Syrian Shawarma place came along. At the suggestion of the very friendly staff, I ordered the traditional shawarma, which comes with very basic toppings and included a unique Pomegranate molasses as one of these toppings. I was skeptical at first because of the Pomegranate sauce, but once I had the first bite, it was a revelation. I had never tasted anything like it before and now I’ve been back several times for it. If you want to try a unique and truly authentic Syrian shawarma, this would be the place to go. They also have a seating area and an attached sweets shop. I tried their soft Kunafa which was decent. The staff was welcoming and the restaurant/market was clean and inviting. They often have great deals on their shawarmas. Definitely worth a visit.

Great food. Great service. Great parts: The BBQ grill is the best. The Kafta kabob, chicken and all grill items are 100%. The bakery items are amazing. The bread wow! The whole chicken is also very good. The Galic Sauce is too good to miss. Service is also good. Very friendly and helping Salad is very good Good: The Sweets are good too. The Baklawa are good but Kunafe can be better Need improvement: Sharwarma is good but can be better. I think more meat and sauce will do All in all great place. Our go to for good food.

10/10 recommend. The food was delicious, so fresh and flavorful and the portions were generous. The staff is friendly and helpful and the overall atmosphere was enjoyable. I had the shawarma plate and my husband had the mighty mo (mixed bbq) plate. Will definitely be back again.

absolutely amazing experience at Damask in Kitchener! We usually order the chicken salad plate for my husband and the chicken kebab plate for myself, and everything is consistently fresh, flavourful, and perfectly prepared. My first time there, Adam went above and beyond—his hospitality was truly out of this world. He took the time to explain the menu, the authenticity behind the dishes, and made us feel so welcome. This was now my second visit, and honestly, I wouldn’t get this cuisine anywhere else. The restaurant is super clean, the food is 10/10 every time, and the deals are incredible for the quality you get. It truly cannot be beat. They also have a fresh bakery and desserts are amazing !! Highly recommend checking them out—and definitely ask for Adam

This was our first visit to Damask it was a fantastic experience! Customer service top notch, all staff members engaged with customers in an excellent manner they made sure they told us there was a wait time as well. We came in specifically for the Shawarma wraps buy one get one. It’s their deal for the month! However we will come again because the service is fantastic. In the end that’s what matters the most. The food was delicious, Very tasty I was hoping for more veggies in my wrap practically turnips but nothing to complain about. I also could have mentioned this as well. The tables were packed it’s a small quaint cozy restaurant that has desserts to go with your meal. Very savoury and sweet. There are two bathrooms very clean the whole experience was great I highly recommend anyone to try it out!
