Chris Jerk was amazing!! The oxtail was so flavourful and tender, and the hot sauce was incredible. Everything we had was delicious. Anne was the sweetest, her smile lit up the whole room and she made the experience even better. I’ll definitely be back very soon!!!🙏🏼

Just visited last week had the jerk chicken breast. My meal didn’t look anything like the past reviews. Considering this is Scarborough, I was pretty pumped and excited to get something legit. It was far from legit and actually quite disappointing for $20. Sorry guys you need to up your game.

This was the best Caribbean meal I’ve found so far in Toronto. The goat meat was seasoned properly which reminded me of the Jamaican House on Finch, East of Islington. The other aspect that made this so good was the added vegetables of broccoli, some cabbage(?) & carrots which were gently cooked (maybe steamed) which I loved as it kept in many nutrients by not over cooking. Also a few pieces of plantains which helped balance the nice hot sauce they provided. I think the rice was not the standard for Caribbean dishes & may have been a thinner basmati which nice with the peas & they added a spoonful of the goat meat sauce & was served at a super hot temperate. Price was good too, $16 + tax which ended up being just over $18. I would forsure go out of my way to go back to this place.The oxtail meal overall was great, the veggies were steamed to perfection & the plantain was excellent too, sliced to a decent size & not oily(I’m not used to having a sweet side but its a great side, especially for a dish with meaty gravy & a bit spicy), I would give this a solid 4.2/5, for a 5, I would have liked to have had more oxtail or bigger pieces & the hot sauce was mild, should be hot or very hot. Lady who served me has been super friendly both times I’ve been there & on top of the great food these things make me wanna go back. They offer a points program but didn’t see it advertised last time so you have to ask if you’re interested.

Jerk chicken shawarma on rice & peas with coleslaw. “Chefs kiss” as they say. Fried plantain is almost always on point as well. The service at this location is far and wide much better than the Birchmount location. Eat in option and being open on Sundays is so nice as well!

The staff at Chris Jerk, are very pleasant, they provide great service with a smile and conversation the food is always fresh and 100% delicious no other caribbean restaurant in Scarborough can compare and the prices are reasonable for the portion size. Never a dispointment always satisfied with a full belly.
