I have been a regular customer at Chicken & Dough Express in Oshawa and have always enjoyed their food, especially the Messy Chicken, which is my absolute favorite. I usually order it because it’s rich, creamy, loaded with sauces, and never dry. The combination of different sauces and cheese is what keeps me coming back. However, my experience last week was extremely disappointing. I ordered the same Messy Chicken, but this time it had very minimal sauce and looked quite dry. Even then, I decided to give it a try, thinking it might still taste okay. Unfortunately, once I started eating, I noticed something very concerning. The chicken was red and uncooked from the inside. Only the top layer looked cooked, while the inside was clearly undercooked. This made the dish completely inedible and honestly unsafe. It was a very unpleasant and disheartening experience, especially as a loyal customer. This is not the quality I expect from a place I regularly support. Food safety is extremely important, and serving undercooked chicken is unacceptable. I truly hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously. I really liked this place and hope they make up for this experience.

I tried the hot honey fried chicken sandwich and fire fries at Chicken and Dough and was genuinely impressed. The burger was juicy, well-seasoned, and cooked perfectly, with a soft bun that held everything together without getting soggy. Each bite had great flavor balance, and the toppings felt fresh and thoughtfully put together. The fries were hot, crispy on the outside, and fluffy on the inside—clearly made with care and not an afterthought. Portions were generous, and everything tasted fresh. If you’re craving a satisfying burger-and-fries combo in Oshawa, Chicken N Dough is definitely worth a visit!!!!

Some of the best food around. The smash burger was crispy on the edges and the grilled chicken was perfect. The fire fries had the perfect flavour combo too. The best part was the service though, we went an hour before closing and ordered on the way out too but the guy taking our order was super friendly and told us to take our time. We will definitelyy be going again, highly recommend!

I decided to try out this spot recently and ordered The Big Clucker—a combo that comes with two pounds of wings, a side of fries, and two cans of pop. For an extra $4, I upgraded to their “messy fries,” but honestly, they were a bit too overpowering for my taste. The wings themselves were just okay—not terrible, but nothing that really stood out. What really bothered me, though, was the pickup experience. I placed my order online, and the estimated wait time was 20 minutes. I gave them 25, since I don’t live too far from the Oshawa location, but when I arrived, my order still wasn’t ready. The restaurant wasn’t even busy, which made me wonder: what’s the point of ordering ahead if the food isn’t ready when promised? Overall, it was a pretty underwhelming experience. Between the average wings, the fries I didn’t love, and the frustrating pickup delay, I don’t see myself going back. There are definitely better wing spots in Oshawa and Whitby worth checking out

OMG, I am obsessed with the Nashville chicken sandwich from Chicken N Dough! It is definitely one of my favorite sandwiches, the perfect combination of crispy, spicy, and flavorful. I can confidently say this is one of the good ones when it comes to Nashville-style chicken. If you're a fan of fries, make sure to try the fire fries and messy fries—they are absolutely delicious! Both are packed with flavor, and the messier, the better! The wraps, on the other hand, were just okay. I found them a bit dry, but everything else more than makes up for it. Overall, Chicken N Dough is a great spot to hit up for a casual meal. The service is good, and the food is satisfying. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the mood for some delicious chicken and fries!
