TL;DR: Burger Factory's Nashville Hot Chicken burger should come with a waiver form and possibly fire insurance. It's the kind of delicious pain that makes you wonder if you've developed Stockholm syndrome with your food. My body said no but my heart said "hurt me again, chicken sandwich." Already planning my return visit, possibly with a support group. First impression: calling your joint "Burger Factory" is like the culinary equivalent of naming your Soundcloud "Music Guy" – aggressively straightforward. But sometimes you don't need fancy names when you're slinging legitimate heat. The Nashville Hot Chicken burger caught my eye because apparently I enjoy making decisions that my body immediately questions. What arrived was less of a meal and more of a dare wrapped in paper. The chicken had that perfect crunch that makes you nod involuntarily, topped with enough spice to make me wonder if I had accidentally insulted the chef's family in a previous life. This isn't your "ooh, little bit spicy teehee" situation – this is "text your emergency contact your current location" territory. My nose was running, my forehead was sweating, and I was making the kind of noises that prompted my neighbor to knock and ask if everything was okay. Everything was NOT okay, but in the best possible way. The fries served as essential fire extinguishers between bites of molten chicken. Crispy, well-seasoned, and frankly heroic in their supporting role. They witnessed a man go through all five stages of grief while eating a sandwich and didn't judge. My drink was... well, it was critical infrastructure at that point. Less a beverage and more a necessary survival tool. I've never seen a human drain a cup that fast without being at a frat party. Four stars instead of five only because I'm pretty sure I temporarily lost the ability to taste anything else for about 18 hours afterward. Worth it? Mostly. My stomach sent me a strongly worded letter of resignation the next morning but I talked it into staying. The portion size was perfect – enough to satisfy but not so much that I ended up in a food coma questioning my life choices. Actually, scratch that, I definitely questioned several life choices while eating this, but that's just part of the Nashville Hot experience.
