This is some of the best food I’ve ever eaten.
Firstly: the owner took our order. He was so kind, and welcoming. You immediately feel at home. He gave us time with the menu, gave us suggestions, and was super accommodating. He even told us that the fry portion is quite large, and recommended sharing, which feels very honest, as he could’ve just let us order and pay for more!
Secondly: the food! The smash burger was out of this world. Savoury, beefy, seasoned and cooked to perfection. They are not cheap on toppings at all, it was stuffed. The bacon was so smoky, and cooked perfectly. The burger was so juicy and flavourful. You can taste the quality, it was the best burger I’ve ever had, hands down. The poutine was phenomenal. As an east coaster, I can be quite hard on poutine. This was done right! Perfectly seasoned, crispy, chip truck style fries. Good quality, squeaky cheese curds, and a delicious, smooth, beefy gravy. My son’s chicken tenders were very clearly hand breaded and fresh, and they were delicious. He’s picky, and still ate them! The owner was correct on the portion, my son and I shared the fries.
Lastly: the service. I had planned on telling the owner when we were done how amazing everything was. Before we even finished, he came over to ask how everything was, and even brought us the big boys sauce to try (which was delicious)! It is uncommon to get such welcoming, sincere service these days. Big boys are absolutely doing it right. Every staff member was kind, friendly, and smiling. The inside was warm, inviting, and comfortable. Plenty of seating.
To note, 3 HUGE meals were only $50, with drinks. That is practically unheard of, these days! And for such quality food? Absolutely amazing.
